Founder’s Fellows Scholarship Program

A competitive scholarship for 8th grade students

In honor of our founder, Dr. Lewis M. Andrews, the Kids’ Scholarship Fund (KSF) launched the annual Founder’s Fellows during the 2021-22 school year. The Founder’s Fellows scholarship program was designed to recognize the achievement of 8th grade KSF scholars and motivate them to continue on a path of academic excellence and meaningful service to others.

This is a competitive scholarship for current 8th grade students who received a KSF scholarship for the 2025-26 school year. To apply, a student must:

1. Be nominated by his or her principal
2. Complete a student questionnaire
3. Apply by January 15, 2026

KSF will review all applications and select several winners for prizes ranging from $500-$4,200 annually. Qualified students may have their scholarships renewed in the 10th-12th grades.

High schools that Founder's Fellows are attending, or have attended, include:

• Holy Cross High School, Waterbury
• Notre Dame High School, West Haven
• Notre Dame Prep of Sacred Heart University, Fairfield
• St. Joseph High School, Trumbull
